Should We do rear projection or front projection?

This question is relative to the site. When using quality equipment, front projection far exceeds the rear projection in prodution value. The screens that Hollywood Outdoor Movies utilizes are black backed so that no ambient light will go through them. This enhances the picture image that you see. With rear projection, the image is projected from behind the screen and half of the lumen count is lost. To compensate for this, the projector must be upgraded to get the same quality as a front projection.

Why Should I choose a company that utilizes Airscreen?

is the world's leader of inflatable screens. The inflatable screen phenomenon was created in Germany where it is still very popular. There have been several copy-cat companies that have come along and created their own version of an Airscreen. However, the quality is simply not there. What is a Lumen and why is it important?

This is a question that alot of other companies tend to push aside or side step when answering it. Regardless of what other compamies may say, the luman count of a projector is very important as you never know about ambient light that may be present during a show. The bottom line is that all light is measurable and the unit of measurement is a Luman. This is the definition from Wikipedia -

Why should I be concerned about wind?

By utilizing an inflatable screen you can transform any parking lot, park or beach into a movie theater. However, the nemesis is wind. If you do not utilize and actual Airscreen product, you very well may be sorry that you chose the company that you did. Airscreen screens can withstand winds up to 26 MPH (tested)  without the use of a blower. Our competitors utlize bounce house materials that are sewn together and require at least one blower blowing consistently. The reason for this is that the air escapes from all of the seams. The only way to combat that is that you MUST keep a blower on it. On our larger screens, we can get the wind tolerance  up to 40 MPH (tested) with our extreme version of the screen. We challenge any company not using an Airscreen brand screen to prove that they have the capability to do this.

What is a Beaufort Rating?

The Beaufort Scale is the rating system that measure the speed of wind. All materials have a rating that has been measured. The definition of the Beaufort Scale is deifined here by Wikipedia

Why is sound so important outside?

This is probably one of hte most overlooked topics in the outdoor movie industry. We have seen everything from home stereos brought to the park to companies posting two 200 watt speakers on site for a crowd of 2000 people. Serioulsy, no kidding! Hollywood Outdoor Movies takes a different approach to each of our events than any other company out there. The theatrical experience is a combination of both sight and sound. The amount of sound brought to a venue will be dependant on the size of the crowd. However, you can rest assured that you will hear it. Sound is affected differently outside than it is inside. If hte wind blows, the sound will blow with it or become slightly distorted. This is one reason that an ample sound system is crucial to your event.
